UMS is well represented by SSS (Fadzilah, Rosazman and Gaim) in a panel organized by Fadzilah on Environment and Participatory Development. UMS is also presented by members from SPE in the same panel. The panel is inter-university (UMS, UNIMAS and USM), as well as inter-sectoral (academia and NGOs- PACOS, Global Diversity Foundation and WWF Indonesia), and runs for 4 hours over two 2-hour sessions.
The conference is reputed to attract over 1,000 participants from all over the world. If you are interested, it is not too late, registration is still going on until 31st July. Conference dates are 4 -7 August 2007. Check out our panel at the ICAS5 website:
